About the Original Edit
This is the Original Edit of ‘The Flow’ – a straight-up Electro-house track built for the floor. My goal was to create something with high energy and a relentless rhythmic drive.
I settled on 128 BPM in G minor to get that classic club feel. The arrangement is all about the “pumping” effect, using heavy side-chaining between the kick drum and the synth bass. I used a bright, staccato sawtooth synth riff as the main hook to keep the tension building throughout the track.
You’ll also hear some processed vocal chops in there, but I used them purely as rhythmic textures to support the groove rather than as a lead melody.
